Mandatory Care (Annual)

Annual Update – Mandatory Training for Care Staff (6 Hours)

1 Days training by Care Industry Training Specialist covering all Skills set out by Skills For Care.

Mandatory Care (3 years)

3 Yearly Update – Mandatory Training for Care Staff (10 Hours)

1 Days training by Care Industry Training Specialist and some self study open learning covering all Skills set out by Skills For Care.

The Care Certificate

Covers Skills for Care subjects required for The Care Certificate. The certificate can be taught by an in-house member of staff or one of our Care Industry Trainers.

Basic Life Support & First Aid for Care Homes

2 to 3 hours.

Covering the essentials of first aid and CPR for Care staff, this course will give the staff member the confidence to deal with emergencies as set out by Skills for Care guidelines. Giving your business, staff, customers and relatives the peace of mind knowing vital emergency support can be given in the event of an emergency. 

Health & Safety for Care Homes

2 to 3 hours. 

Covering the essentials of health and safety for Care staff, this course will give the staff member the confidence to work safety as set out by Skills for Care guidelines. Giving your business, staff, customers and relatives the peace of mind knowing safety is priority and key.

 

Manual Handling of Loads & People for Care Homes

2 to 4 hours 

Covering the essentials of manual handling for Care staff, this course will give the staff member the confidence to work safety as set out by Skills for Care guidelines. Giving your business, staff, customers and relatives the peace of mind knowing all manual handling practices are carried our safety protecting everyone from injury.

Food Safety for Care Homes

2 to 3 hours 

Covering the essentials of food handling for Care staff, this course will give the staff member the confidence to work safety as set out by Skills for Care guidelines. Giving your business, staff, customers and relatives the peace of mind knowing all food serves on the premises is safe to consume.

Fire Safety for Care Homes

2 to 3 hours. 

Covering the essentials of fire safety for Care staff, this course will give the staff member the confidence to work safety as set out by Skills for Care guidelines. Giving your business, staff, customers and relatives the peace of mind knowing in the event of a fire the business will be able to deal effectively with it

Fire Marshal for Care Homes

2 to 4 hours. 

Covering the essentials of the role of a fire marshal and fire safety principles for Care staff, this course will give the staff member the confidence to work safety as set out by Skills for Care guidelines. Giving your business, staff, customers and relatives the peace of mind knowing in the event of a fire the business will be able to deal effectively with it and have designated persons to take control.

Safeguarding for Care Homes

2 to 3 hours. 

Covering the essentials and legal requirements for safeguarding for Care staff, this course will give the staff member the confidence to work safety as set out by Skills for Care guidelines. Giving your business, staff, customers and relatives the peace of mind knowing safeguarding is taken seriously and measures are in place.

Principles of Care (3 to 6 Hours)

Covering the essentials for Care staff, this course will give the staff member the confidence to work safety as set out by Skills for Care guidelines. PTDQ Customer Services in Care Industry
PTDQ Customer Services in Care Industry

2 to 3 hours – Covering the essentials of customer services in Care Industry, this includes giving a great experience to services users and visitors to the business.

PTDQ Awareness of mental health, dementia & learning disability
PTDQ Awareness of mental health, dementia & learning disability

2 to 4 hours – Covers a range of mental health issues and awareness of them in a care setting, as well as a dementia and learning disabilities.

 

PTDQ Fluids and Nutrition
PTDQ Fluids and Nutrition

2 to 3 hours – Covers importance and fluids and nutrition in a care environment. Includes issues that could affect a service user and vital training to aid the prevention of conditions associated.

PTDQ Equality and Diversity
PTDQ Equality and diversity

2 to 3 hours – Covers all legal issues for equality and diversity. Training will give support and information on how to be complainant with Equality and Diversity.

PTDQ Infection Prevention and Control

2 to 3 hours – Covers training how to prevent infection in a care setting as well as ways to control if needed.

2 to 3 hours – Covers how to handle information you may need to process or use in a Care setting. As well as covers maintaining privacy and dignity of services users.

2 to 3 hours to help learners understanding completing risk asseemnts in a care setting. 

Professional Care Trainers Programme

Who’s should attend:

Anyone who works in the care industry and is seeking fully recognised (Ofqual) qualification in teaching and assessing. Any Care staff trainers that are looking for fully regulated qualification that meet Skills for Care training, assessing and verification requirements. Any Care management that want to take control of their own training and know the trainer is fully qualified and competent and will meet their due-diligence in the event of investigation.

3 to 5 days training 

Included is 

  • Ofqual Recognised Level 3 Award in Education & Training 
  • Ofqual Recognised Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocational Related Achievement 
  • Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid for the Work Place 

Centres wishing to deliver this programme must meet our criteria and be hold a level 4 teaching qualification.
